With a 40+ year legacy centered in the heart of the OKC Innovation District, MILES ARCHITECTURE is a specialized design firm providing planning, architectural, interior design, and project management services for complex projects with highly technical criteria. Our primary goal is to foster innovation and improve communities by delivering transformative design and project management solutions for our science, healthcare, academic, corporate, and institutional clients. 

Our Oklahoma City studio is easily accessed from I-235, and offers close proximity to Downtown OKC, Bricktown, Automobile Alley, and the Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. We're a tight-knit team with a warm and friendly studio culture focused on collaborative teamwork and mentorship. We provide a strong framework for professional development and work in project teams with most employees assigned for the duration of a project. Entry level employees also have the opportunity to work projects from Programming and Conceptual Design through Construction Administration. Most of our clients are located within two miles from our office and include some of the most prominent research and healthcare institutions in the state and region.

PROJECT COORDINATOR: We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Project Coordinator to help us deliver transformative design solutions for our science, healthcare, academic, corporate, and institutional clients. This position is intended for individuals who have recently graduated and are looking to develop their skills and gain experience in the field under the guidance and supervision of licensed design professionals working on all facets of design from marketing pursuits through project closeout. As part of our firm, we want to quickly integrate you into our project teams while facilitating your professional development around your individual skill set and ambitions. 

 

As a Project Coordinator, you'll be at the heart of our design process, working closely with our team from project kickoff to construction administration. You will gather program data, create design concepts, coordinate production drawings, and manage client relations. You will also work with diverse team compositions and contribute exceptional communication, critical thinking, and analytical skills to meet project deadlines. The ideal candidate will have a degree in architecture, 3+ years of professional experience, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Suite, Revit, and BIM with excellent time management and organizational skills. Individuals with non-conventional career tracks that can add value to the firm and our clients will be considered.


Competencies & Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture and on the path to architectural licensure.

  • 3+ years of professional experience is preferred.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Suite, Revit, & BIM.

  • Knowledge and use of BIM for architectural documentation and engineering coordination.

  • Experience with creating design presentations and construction documents is preferred.

  • Ability to work with diverse team composition.

  • Exceptional communication, critical thinking, & analytical skills are essential.

  • A team player who enjoys the collaborative process but can also work independently as required.

  • Excellent time management & organizational skills.

  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, & stay on track with a variety of assignments on multiple projects.

  • Anticipates and works proactively to prevent/resolve issues & meet project deadlines.

  • Most importantly, aspires to a high level of quality in their work.

ARCHITECT with DESIGN EXPERIENCE: Licensed architect or design professional on licensure track with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience and a portfolio exhibiting design work. Skills required include developing design ideas in sketches, utilizing software including Sketchup, Revit with Vray, Lumion, and other rendering platforms as well as working with production staff, consultants, and clients throughout design to ensure design intent is implemented. Remote/hybrid work may be considered based on the applicants and position.
