Sunny is a licensed architect with a Master of Business Administration and over 18 years of design experience, with a strong focus on healthcare environments. Her in-depth understanding of the complexities of healthcare design was shaped by her tenure with the Indian Health Service (IHS), a federal agency within the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services. There, she served as both an Area Planner and Project Manager, overseeing the planning and delivery of healthcare construction projects across the region. She also served as the IHS Area Healthcare Planning Officer, leading the development of project needs assessments, functional programs, and facility master plans for federal healthcare facilities while also offering technical support and planning expertise to tribal health systems.
Sunny’s extensive experience in federal and tribal healthcare infrastructure has given her a comprehensive view of the unique operational, cultural, and regulatory challenges in healthcare facility planning. She is adept at translating clinical and community needs into highly functional, flexible spaces that support both patient care and provider efficiency. Her approach integrates evidence-based design strategies, regulatory compliance, and long-term operational planning to ensure that facilities are both innovative and sustainable.
Currently, Sunny splits her time between architectural design and program management, contributing to some of the firm’s most complex and high-stakes projects. Known for her analytical mindset and proactive leadership, she develops and implements clearly defined critical paths to guide projects from concept through completion—managing risk, protecting schedules, and upholding budgetary goals. In her current role as Owner’s Agent (AE1) for the Oklahoma Office of Management & Enterprise Services (OMES), she is managing six projects totaling approximately $20 million at the Oklahoma State Capitol Complex.
