MILES ARCHITECTURE seeks a full-time Interior Design Professional to join our award-winning and dynamic team. With a primary focus on complex science and healthcare projects, we are looking for a candidate with 5-7+ years of experience, and a proven ability to work collaboratively. As a crucial team member, you will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to create efficient and aesthetically pleasing spaces. Your creativity, attention to detail, technical expertise, and strong project management skills will be essential in achieving successful outcomes. Responsibilities include collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams, material selections, producing design documents, coordinating project documentation, participating in meetings, understanding engineering systems, reviewing shop drawings, and contributing to quality control protocols. Ideal candidates demonstrate the ability to lead and manage all technical aspects of projects. Licensing is preferred, but not required. 

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with a proven multi-disciplinary design team, fostering collaboration and teamwork.

  • Develop innovative interior design concepts that align with client goals and project requirements.

  • Produce design documents across all phases of design and construction, from conceptual sketches to detailed construction documents and specifications.

  • Stay current with design trends, materials, and industry best practices.

  • Oversee the selection of materials, furnishings, and finishes, and presentations for client approval.

  • Participate in and lead project coordination meetings with consultants, clients, and contractors.

  • Review shop drawings, material samples, and submittals for conformance with design.

  • Perform construction administration duties, including RFIs, RFPs, and Change Orders.

  • Contribute to office QA/QC protocols and design standards.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in CIDQ accredited Interior Design Program.

  • Interior Design licensure (NCIDQ) is preferred but not required.

  • 5-7 years of commercial interior design work experience.

  • Strong communication and critical thinking skills (written, verbal, and graphic).

  • Proficiency in Revit, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite.

  • Familiarity with building codes, specifications, and engineering systems.

  • Oversee the selection of materials, furnishings, and finishes.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
