AMY BULLER, AIA
SENIOR ASSOCIATE
From healthcare projects to research laboratories, Amy’s expertise is in the design of technical projects requiring innovative solutions for complex problems. As the daughter of a physician, her passion for healthcare architecture developed at an early age and was strengthened while earning her Master of Architecture and conducting intricate research for the development of a hospital design. Her broad experience includes multiple renovation projects on the OU Health campus as well as corporate medical clinics and specialized academic laboratories. She is involved in all aspects of the design process, from programming to construction administration, and utilizes her comprehensive understanding of hospital codes and technical design guidelines to ensure all highly technical requirements are met including the proper placement of very specialized healthcare equipment.
Two of Amy’s most sophisticated projects are the Cardiology Diagnosis and Treatment Center for OU Health’s Cardiovascular Institute and Chun C. Lin Hall for the OU Homer L. Dodge Department of Physics and Astronomy. The first is a 20,000 SF, $20-million project located on the OU Health campus consisting of two hybrid electrophysiology operating rooms, one hybrid cardiac catheterization operating room, and three singleplane catheterization labs. The latter is a 55,000 SF, $30-million project located on The University of Oklahoma’s main campus in Norman, Oklahoma. This project consists of two floors of AMO & CM quantum physics research labs and one floor of offices. Both projects required precise detailing to meet the vibration and shielding design requirements of the highly-specialized equipment.
